About six months ago I got a new roommate - a grand piano. I say roommate because she takes up a whole room. But I certainly don't mind. Now I don't just let strangers move into my house, so fortunately I was well acquainted with this particular piano. It was the piano my dad bought for my mom when I was a teenager. So this is like a homecoming for me!!
I was born and raised in a very musical family. In addition to playing piano, there was lots of singing, various band instruments, and Bach's Toccata & Fugue every Sunday morning. Loads of fun!!
Anyhow, after readjusting to the Michigan climate, she was due for her second tune-up. The first occurred shortly after she made the trip from Florida in that yellow Penske van (that's a story for another day). Right away we properly outfitted her with all-season damp-chasers. I'm so glad that the piano tuner is getting to know her. He is taking really good care of her! Can't wait to play once he's done. I'll apologize to my neighbors right now :)
